My research is broadly focused on struggles for environmental justice in regional agricultural landscapes. My professional work focuses specifically on providing on-farm conservation assistance to the regional community of small-scale Spanish-speaking farm owner-operators. As a scholar, I use ethnographic methods to explore questions about justice and inequality that are relevant to this farming community - especially those that critically examine the people and organizations seeking to support these farmers. Areas of interest include: applied agricultural science and STS; agroecology; environmental and food justice; feminist political economy/ecology; critical and feminist methodologies.
